2019 Invitational The Break O’Day Field Archery Club

2019 Invitational - 1st Year TAA

The Break O'Day Traditional Archery Club hosted the event for 2019 for the first time.

From 2019 onwards the invitational will be run under Traditional Archery Australia affiliation. This national body encourages all types of bows (not just the sticks!) so there was  plenty of compounds on the day.

The weather was great!

It was a little bit cool but any competition where you don't need an umbrella is a good one.

More Participants

This is the third year we have had the invitational in September. We had a big show this year from our sister TAA club - The Loxley Archers (love you guys!). Other archers came in from all over the state and it was great to see so many age groups and a larger number of female contestants this year. However, we still need some junior females to fill all categories.

Trophies

We had a change to the trophies this year, going for animals as the decoration.  They went down a treat. We also offered a new trophy - The President's Award. Brady was so impressed with a young competitor in 2018 he decided to present the trophy at the 2019 event and have this as another perpetual trophy.  The 2018 Presidents Awards  was awarded to Reuben Lazarus and in 2019 it went to Logan Dunning. Well done.

Look forward to seeing you next year.

We will keep you posted about the Invitational on our Facebook page for The Break O'Day Traditional Archery Club. However,  you need to put these dates in your diary and keep them free - 19th and 20th September 2020.
